- WordPress Credentials: API keys you provide to connect your WordPress sites. These credentials are encrypted at rest. We only access your site via the WordPress API to publish content — we cannot view your existing articles or log into your WordPress admin.

- Usage Data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and actions taken within the Service.
- Cookies & Tracking: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to improve functionality, analyze performance, and deliver relevant content.

3. AI Generated Content
When you use MadWords, your inputs (prompts) and outputs (AI generated text or images) may be stored temporarily for system performance, abuse prevention, and product improvement.
Content you input may be processed by third-party AI and data services to generate outputs. We do not share your personal account information (name, email, payment details) with these services.
No AI Training: MadWords does not use your content to train AI models. Your prompts and generated content are not used to improve or train any machine learning systems.
We do not claim ownership of the content you generate. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of AI generated content complies with applicable laws, third party rights, and our Terms of Service.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following cases:

The DPA governs the processing of personal data, outlines data protection obligations, and includes Standard Contractual Clauses (where applicable) to ensure lawful transfers of data outside the EEA.

17. Data Retention Schedule
To comply with legal and business requirements, MadWords follows the retention schedule below:
- Account Information (e.g., email, profile details): Retained for the life of the account and up to 12 months after cancellation, unless required longer by law.
- Billing & Payment Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- User Prompts & AI Outputs: Retained temporarily for system performance and abuse detection, then automatically deleted within 30 days.
- Support Communications (emails, tickets): Retained indefinitely to improve support quality and resolve disputes.
- Security Logs (IP, login activity): Retained for up to 12 months for fraud detection and system security.
- Backups: Encrypted backups may be retained for up to 90 days, after which they are securely deleted.
If you request deletion of your data, we will remove active records within 30 days and ensure backups are purged during the normal backup cycle.
