19. Service Availability & Uptime SLA
MadWords guarantees 99.99% uptime for all paid plans.
Uptime Calculation
- Measured monthly as percentage of time MadWords platform is available
- Monitored via automated systems checking core application functionality
What's EXCLUDED from SLA (not counted as downtime):
- Scheduled Maintenance — Announced 48+ hours in advance
- Third-Party Service Failures — LLM APIs or SERP providers
- Network and User-Side Issues — Your internet, device, or browser problems
- Beta/Preview Features — Features marked as experimental or in testing
Compensation
If MadWords fails to meet the 99.99% uptime guarantee in any calendar month, you'll receive free bonus words equal to the downtime percentage applied to your monthly word allocation.
Formula: Free Words = Your Monthly Word Allocation × (Guaranteed Uptime % - Actual Uptime %)
Example 1: Core Plan (200,000 words/month)
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 99.90% | Downtime: 0.09%
Free words: 200,000 × 0.09% = 180 bonus words
Example 2: Pro Plan (800,000 words/month)
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 99.50% | Downtime: 0.49%
Free words: 800,000 × 0.49% = 3,920 bonus words
Example 3: Elite Plan (2,000,000 words/month) — Major Outage
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 98.00% | Downtime: 1.99%
Free words: 2,000,000 × 1.99% = 39,800 bonus words
